I regularly take part in community art projects in and around the county of Devon, in England. As an Artist Practitioner I co-founded Art Raft, using creativity to bring together vulnerable people in and around the town of Moretonhampstead, where I live. I'm also involved with various projects for Significant Seams, including online tutoring with the Devon Recovery Learning Community.

Quarantine Quilt Project

In 2020 The Quarantine Quilt Project collected and stitched together people’s experiences and responses to living through a pandemic.  I was one of four Artist Associates who co-tutored online textile art courses and helped to design and construct the final quilts.

Illuminated Memories

Installation using architectural paper and pressed flowers, created by an Art Raft group and installed in a window in Moretonhampstead's church of St. Andrews.

Processions Banner

Created in 2018 by a group of women in and around Moretonhampstead to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War and the introduction of women's right to vote in the UK. The banner was designed by local textile artist Veronica Gould. I helped the group to develop the skills needed to piece the banner together. The 'river' features the names of female relatives and ancestors of the women who made it. It was paraded through London as part of the Processions march in June 2018.

The national project was run by Artichoke who invited 100 groups across the country to work with women artists to make a banner.
